A Crowdfunding Campaign has Launched to keep Canadian ‘Rockers’ NickElback From Playing Gigs in London
Crowdfunding website Kickstarter has helped fund many things in the past. Made young entrepreneurs dreams come true, impossible creative projects possible, it even recently helped bring the Foo Fighters together to play a gig for thousands of adoring fans in Richmond, Virginia. A crowd who had all donated their hard earned dollars in hopes of seeing their idols perform… and despite not raising enough money still managed to see them! When the Foo Fighters were so touched by the gesture they played anyways!
Inspired by this very same concert, a remarkably overdue, idea has sprung…..
To use that same passion, enthusiasm, and power in numbers to do a great, great thing! Prevent Canadian “Rockers” Nickelback from ever playing a live gig in London again! The project entitled “Don’t Let Nickel Back” invites people to pitch in various amounts of money from as little as $1.00- $50.00 to ensure that Nickelback don’t ever, EVER come back!
Each pledge includes an email sent on your behalf to the band’s, management with varying degrees of forcefulness, in the hopes they will not play in London for the foreseeable future. A $10 donation is a bargain, promising an email with added explicit phrases, block capitals and even a rude emoticon or two! The top amount of $50 even includes an attached mp3 of Nickelback’s own music sent back to them, so that they can hear for themselves the terrible, awful music they have subjected people (not just Canadians, but all over the world!) too for far far too long!
“We are attempting to ensure that Canadian “rockers” Nickelback do not come to London, England to play a gig. With your help, we can ensure that the band do not schedule any gigs here, do not attempt to come here – nor even phone here.
Just imagine, thousands – perhaps tens of thousands of music lovers – all not witnessing an exclusive concert by Nickelback in London. It will be glorious. Legendary. Dare we say, game changing?”
If you don’t do it for yourself, at the very least do it for the others who can still be spared!
