‘Lost in Music’ Photography exhibition at The Printspace Gallery London
Revisit 4 decades of clubbing as the printspace gallery swings the doors open on their highly anticipated, explosive photography exhibition ‘Lost in Music’
Don’t remember what went down at that rave at the Pleasuredome back in ’97?! No problem! The people at Printspace Gallery are here to fill in the blanks. Reliving 40 years of club culture with over 500 images dripping in the decadence and debauchery of the scene.
From breakdancers at block parties and illegal free parties, through to the madness of the 90’s club scene and hardcore raves; Lost in Music is the definitive document of club culture. A tribute to the obsessives, the hedonists, the musical eccentrics, the DJ’s and of course the dancers; who were not only founding members of the dance music institution but who continue to evolve the scene and keep it alive.
Curated and painstakingly narrowed down from thousands of global submissions Lost in Music is a rare and staggering walk thru club culture all the way from the beginning and birth of the scene to present day. Captured by the people who somehow managed to live it and photograph it without losing their camera!! From the unsung pioneers in underground clubs, to the stadium-filling superstars behind the decks, highly respected photographers to the wild one’s on the dancefloor all wrapped up in one big gloriously hedonistic, sweaty masterpiece.
